For District 43, Utah House of Representatives

I encourage voters to think “outside the two-party box” and seriously consider voting for me and other United Utah Party candidates.  Our success will cause Utah’s political establishment to take notice.

Vision, Issues, & Values

I became affiliated with the United Utah Party because I was dissatisfied with the two major political parties.  Although I believe the two-party system has served our nation well for most of its history, the parties have become more ideologically polarized in recent years.  In addition, the Utah Legislature is often unresponsive to the needs and desires of the people of Utah.

I share the United Utah Party’s ideals of moderation, pragmatism, and of seeking good ideas and solutions from all parties.  We must utilize every strategy to meet the challenges facing Utah.

I encourage voters to think “outside the two-party box” and seriously consider voting for me and other United Utah candidates.  Our success will cause Utah’s political establishment to take notice.  This would lead to greater responsiveness by office holders to the wishes of Utah’s voters.

The Leadership Utah Needs Right Now

About Jeff

I have lived at my current address in West Jordan for the past 27 years.  I have lived in Utah continuously since 1976, living in Salt Lake City and Magna before moving to West Jordan.  My wife Pamela and I have been married 47 years and have three children (one deceased) and four grand-children.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with a B. A. in Political Science.  I worked 34 years for the Utah Department of Workforce Services (formerly Employment Security), mostly as adjudicator, compliance auditor, and program specialist in the Unemployment Insurance Division.  I retired in 2010.

I have served my community in various volunteer capacities over the years.  While living in West Jordan, I have served on the city’s Board of Adjustment, General Plan Committee, and Design Review Committee.  In the past, I have been a county and state delegate and precinct chair of the Republican party.  I have also served on Boards of Directors of an employees’ credit union and (presently) of a Home Owners Association.
